The Clough Taylor People’s Run was launched in 2013 when nearly 1000 people braved arctic conditions to remember two great men and raise funds for a range of good causes. For 2014 we moved the event to a summer's evening in June and far more favourable conditions saw hundreds take part. In 2015 we continued to stage the event midweek during the summer. The fourth staging of the event was due to take place on Wednesday 22nd June 2016 however has been cancelled due to a rescheduling of the calendar by Donington Park.
The event is back in 2017 at not one, but two great new venues. We will be at Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham on 26th February and at Elvaston Castle, Derby on12th March.
Brian Clough and Peter Taylor brought so much to the cities of Nottingham and Derby; success, pride, profile, glory….. the Clough Taylor People's Run makes it is possible to say thank you and to mark their incredible contribution to the region and its people by giving up an evening to run (or jog or walk) the famous Donington Park motor racing circuit.
There are statues and there are books, but only by taking part in the Clough Taylor People’s Run can you join thousands of others in saying thank you in a meaningful way and in a way which helps others too.
